Project 5 - Cardboard

For the last project in the class, I wanted to go all out with the playful aspect and made a very colorful chair. The chair's design is based on a simple origami chair instruction. I used scoring and folding to turn the whole piece of cardboard into the chair and then added three slotted pieces on the bottom to support the seat. It is surprisingly sturdy and can hold the weight of a person. As for the colors, I wanted to use colors that remind the viewer of crayons and construction paper. It also accentuate the folds of the cardboard.
